full-grown Kamchatka Moose can in fact weighs as much as 4-5 full-grown
deer… consider th at
their gigantic dimensions, can reach weights up to 1.000 kilos (2200
pounds!).
Their
trophies are even embarrassing for their oversized dimensions, with
antlers that can have an opening of over 1,70 meters and weigh even 50-60 kilos.

Do You
Know That...
Moose coat is usually dark brown to almost black. Adults have a shoulder
hump and a flap of skin--called a bell or dewlap--hanging below the throat.
Bulls carry antlers which become palmated (flat and extended) after the
third year. They have long legs and spreading hooves that help them in
marshes and deep snow. They are also excellent swimmers and have been known
to cross lakes more than a mile wide.
This specie have poor eyesight but great senses of smell and hearing.
Moose
Hunting is done by foot or with a 4x4 jeep, mostly in the month of
September, in the boundless swamps and in the vast woods where they go to
feed themselves.
